Ben Bernstein

Ben Bernstein, 23 from Tzippori, was a third generation of a well-known Karate-fighting family in Israel. He met his girlfriend when he was a company sergeant at a hotel in Eilat, and together they lived in Kibbutz Hanaton in the Jezreel Valley and planned to get married. On Friday night, he went to the music festival near Kibbutz Re’im, and since then, the family hasn’t heard from him. ‘Around 8:30 in the morning, his friends received updates from him that he was hiding in a nearby orchard, and since then, he disappeared. A war room was opened to locate Ben, and on the first day, the family returned to the north without success. A few days later, his phone was located in Re’im and was moving toward Ramla,’ said a family friend Yotam Peretz. ‘In the past three years, he survived many rounds of fighting,’ added Peretz. ‘He was a black belt in Karate, fights in various ways – a very strong guy, a survivor and not a complainer – and lost his life, ironically, while enjoying a party.'”
