Berli z"l was murdered at the Nova Nature Festival near Kibbutz Re'im. Berli is the only child of his parents, he was born in Mezekrat Batia and from the age of 5 to the age of 25 he lived in Shoham. Berli studied at the Even Chen elementary school and then chose to study at the Beit Ekstein middle and high school in Givatayim. In his childhood and youth he was a basketball player in Maccabi Shoham and even coached within the team. In the army he served as a driver in Brigade 16. At the end of his service, he entered the culinary field, and worked as a cook at Yuval Ben Naria's A restaurant. His friend, Ohad Pesi, a resident of Shoham, tells about him: "Berli was a person and personality that cannot be missed. Wherever he went, every person who knew him, immediately fell in love. Berli had a big smile on his face and made sure to instill a good atmosphere. He was an amazing friend, worried about everyone and wanted to help, no matter where he was or what time it was. He touched so many people and everyone knew him, he was a member of the family of all his friends. He was a Kolboynik, knew how to do everything from everything. Just an amazing person, loved life, celebrating and being happy. How ironic."
