In Memoriam of:
Asif Luger
Age: 21
From: Kibbutz Yagur
In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
Sgt. Asif Luger, z"l, 21, from Yagur fell in battle in the Gaza Strip. He was supposed to close Shabbat on October 7 with a battalion that got caught up in battles with Hamas terrorists, and many of its soldiers were injured. He accidentally switched with another soldier. Asif was a lover of music and he also gave up on the "Nova" festival, in an instant, because he was tired. On Tuesday, he fell in the Gaza Strip when his tank ran over a bomb. Asif left behind his parents, two sisters and a brother. On August 24, Assif published his last post on Instagram, with a photo in which he is seen with the Gaza Strip in the background. He attached the caption to the photo: "They want fire from me, I want silence."
