In Memoriam of:

Asaf Edberg

Age: 23

From: Hadera

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Asaf Edberg, z"l, of Hadera, was murdered at the Nova festival along with his girlfriend, Stav Baranzi.

His childhood best friend and Cluj footballer, Ziv Morgan, said this about Asaf: "Asaf has always lived in his own world, he was a kite at school, he was always in his own world and always lived in a dream bubble. He would do everything in his own time and at his own pace and only things he likes and wants. If he would feel uncomfortable in the situation, he would not be in it. He was a surfer and loved the sea very much, almost all day he was in the sea. He was very smiling and sociable, he was a friend of everyone, I heard how many people were at his funeral and it did not surprise me, he He was a man who only sought to do good and never engaged in evil.

We spoke for the last time on Wednesday and he asked me when I would arrive in Israel. I told him I would arrive on Sunday or Monday, so he told me about the party and I wished him to have fun and that was the last time we spoke. His girlfriend was also murdered at the party, so he spent his last minutes around The girl he loved. He wanted to marry her, they were the funniest couple I knew and loved each other so much. My only consolation is that he was around he loved in his last moments."

A friend, Iris Dvir, wrote this about Asaf: "Asaf loved Stav, I met you through Stav, how beautiful and calm you were together, marital light, marital happiness. From time to time you joined our visits with Stav, whom you loved so much. You traveled together, you planned together... I met you for the last time on Yom Kippur Tashpad, you came to play and break the fast, we laughed, smiled, shared experiences. I saw your loving look. Two weeks later... you disappeared... you were absent.. ..you were buried a week apart and we are crying. We are left with beautiful pictures of your loved ones. Now you and Fall are together in the sky, looking at us. Take care of your families and us....love you and you together."
