In Memoriam of:

Ariel Reich

Age: 24

From: Jerusalem

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Cptn. Ariel Reich, z"l, 24, from Jerusalem fell in battle in the Gaza Strip. Ariel had just gotten engaged to his fiance Noa the previous month. A few days before he fell, he had sent out messages to friends and family to save the date for their upcoming wedding. This is not the first tragedy to hit the Reich family - Ariel's mother tragically lost her own battle to cancer when he was just a child. He leaves behind his father and three younger brothers. He was eulogized at his funeral from passionate family members and close friends who praised Ariel's sense of responsibilty and leadership values.

Remembrances

Remembrances of Ariel Reich

A life beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Here we celebrate the memories, the joys, and the life of Ariel Reich.

Thank you for the opportunity to share on this web site. The Jewish Community Center of Long Beach Island is participating in The Simchat Torah Project, “Dancing Through Tears”. Each participating congregation received a beautifully designed Torah cover. Our congregation’s Torah cover is inscribed with the name of Ariel Reich, of blessed memory. This Simchat Torah we will be dancing with one of our Torahs covered with this new mantle and remembering Ariel. We will also be saying Kaddish for him on November 17th, which corresponds to 16 Cheshvan – the Hebrew anniversary of this death. We will continue to say Kaddish for each year.

We are a small synagogue beach community in the state of New Jersey. Our congregation is comprised of full-time residents and summer residents, as well as visitors to the Island. We would very much like to reach out to Ariel’s family and his fiancé Noa Rubin.
