In Memoriam of:

Ariel Ohana

Age: 19

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

A fighter in the 890th battalion, in the paratroopers brigade, 19 years old in Nofo. Ohana was one of the first forces sent to defend the Otaf settlements and fell in a face-to-face battle with terrorists in one of the houses. "There was not a dry eye left at Ariel Ohana's funeral in Barbadi last night. Mother Liat spoke about the boy who came into the world with a smile and said goodbye to him with a smile, and father Yaniv delivered a eulogy that still echoes in my head and in which he wondered how we drown ourselves in bitter arguments when we are faced with real threats whose cause he lost Your son will be loved. Ariel, a member of the noble Ohana family and very dear to us, was a negbist-hud in the 890th paratrooper battalion. A young man of values, modest and full of goodness. On Sunday, he participated in the break-in of one of Kibbutz Bari's houses where terrorists barricaded themselves after massacring the residents of the building. The platoon commander was wounded and turned back and Ariel led the break into the room where the terrorists were. He hit most of them but one of them who was hiding in the corner of the room shot and hit him. His fellow fighters describe the supreme bravery and composure shown by Ariel which saved the lives of many of the platoon's men. One of the finest fruits this land has produced that I wish we could say we are worthy of sacrifice The burden is too much for them and their families. May his memory be blessed"
