Inspector Andrey Pushibai, z"l, served as a patrol officer of Yoav unit township station, South district. He acted with courage and ferocity and fell at the front of the fighting against the enemy. Andrei was born in a small village in Ukraine and served in the Ukrainian army. At a certain point he decided to immigrate to Israel and enlist in the IDF at the age of 24, as a lone soldier, in the Artillery Corps, where he served as an armaments officer at the base of the Artillery Corps. At the end of his regular service, he joined the police and went through an officer's course becoming the rank of inspector.
