In Memoriam of:
Amit Bakri
Age: 21
From: Moshav Yoshivia
In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
1st Sgt. Amit Bakri, z"l, 21, of Moshav Yoshivia - 424th (Shaked) Battalion, 84th (Givati) Infantry Brigade. Amit fell in combat in the southern Gaza Strip.
Amit's educators, from the Boyer school where he attended, Maya Avraham and Lior Gutman-Ado, tell about him: Amit was a kind-hearted boy with a pleasant and quiet presence, he loved sports and was loved by his friends. He always behaved with respect and kindness to those around him. Amit enlisted in the military police, but when the war broke out he made great efforts to switch to combat. Amit wanted to contribute his part to the war effort and the army agreed after he uploaded his medical data. After a course in Givati, Amit began fighting in the Gaza Strip. Three weeks before his death, he was injured by RPG fire, went to the hospital and insisted on returning to battle. Amit left behind his parents, Panina and Yossi, and three sisters: Noa, Hallel, a 9th grade student, and Miriam, a 7th grade student.
