Alon z"l worked as a teacher at a school in Bat Yam and as an assistant coach of Hapoel Tel Aviv's 1st boys team. Alon was murdered when an Egyptian policeman fired his personal weapon and killed Israeli tourists who were on an organized trip to Alexandria (during the Iron Swords War)
