In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
Sergeant Major Alon Bard, z"l, was an investigator at the Rahat station, and was killed in a battle in Re'im. He was 38 years old, left behind a wife and three children. The deputy commander of the station Corporal Yitzhak Yona gave a eulogy at his funeral: "You fell in a battle with evil terrorists at a party near the Reim parking lot while you were fighting to the last drop of your blood and protecting innocent civilians with your body. You fought... until your strength couldn't take it anymore." Unfortunelty, Alon was also a victim of psychological terror when fake pictures of him were leaked to the press. The Israeli police was quick to denounce the fake campaign.
