In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.
Alexy z"l served as an officer in the special counter-terrorism unit from Haifa was one of the heroes who fell in the battle for the police station in the city of Sderot that was taken over by terrorists - he entered the police building, rescuing the wounded under fire and eliminating many terrorists. "A hero of Israel. The strongest, most determined soldier, and at the same time optimistic and smiling, that I had the privilege of being his friend and commander in the service. We all learned from you and your uncompromising way to always continue with all your strength, without fear and without self-pity. You were our pride when you became an army officer and we went to sleep safe knowing you were on guard." Shmeklov is survived by his parents and a sister.
