In Memoriam of:

Itai "Houston" Hadar

Age: 27

In Loving Memory of the Innocent Souls Taken Too Soon. United in peace, their light shines on in the hearts left behind. October 7, 2023, a day of sorrow, but their memories guide us toward a hopeful tomorrow.

Itai z"l (as his friends called him "Houston") was murdered at the Nova music festival near Kibbutz Re'im. He was a social and environmental activist in Beer Sheva who worked a lot to prevent food waste in the city, and as his friends describe him, he had a great zest for life. They called him "Houston" because he would solve problems for everyone. He founded a community called Pipes of Abundance and swept hundreds of people after him. In order to save others, he placed refrigerators and filled them with fruits, vegetables, and all good things and just so people can came to take, he loved to cook and invite to his Friday dinners anyone who wanted to come so that he wouldn't feel alone. His house was open and so was his heart, he connected people through food and through his music, he was a creator who wrote songs and composed them, and he was always seen with a guitar in his hand no matter where he goes."
